After Lil Wayne delivered a very public diss towards Young Thug because he decided to name his upcoming mixtape Carter 6, the rapper reveals he is officially changing the title to Barter 6.

Thugger posted the announcement on Instagram last night (April 13) after he was threatened with a lawsuit over the name of the tape since he will be selling it at retail.

“Can’t name the mixtape Carter 6 ’cause these f--- ass n----s tryna sue, just like some hoes,” he said in the video. “Big ol’ blood, so I’m going Barter 6. On the f---ing way.”

While we're sure it's Lil Wayne that is slapping him with a lawsuit over the title, Thug doesn't reveal who is actually trying to sue him. Since he made the Carter 6 announcement last week, there has been backlash from fans once they found out the title. Then, of course, there's Weezy, who didn't take kindly to Thug paying tribute to him by jacking his Carter movement for his own project.

"Y’all let him know I said, “F--- him,” he said at a recent concert. “To go even further, I want y’all to do me favor, and stop listening to songs of n----s that post naked pictures on their album covers.”

Instead of retaliating, Young Thug actually empathized with Tunechi, stating that he would never diss his idol during this beef.

“I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated with his career and I feel him on that,” Thug stated. “But this is my idol. I wouldn’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing.”

Young Thug's mixtape, now called Barter 6, will be dropping on April 17. Now that he's made the change, will Wayne still have beef with him? We'll just have to wait and find out.
