Your favorite hip-hoppers are ready to battle for a project inspired by the popular HBO series 'Game of Thrones.' Rappers Wale, Common, Big Boi, Bodega Bamz and others are contributing songs to the 'Catch the Throne' mixtape.

The aforementioned artists will be performing over beats made from samples from the show. According to the Wall Street Journal, the 10-song mixtape is being compiled to attract African-American and Latino viewers to the HBO series.

"Our multicultural audiences are a very important part of our subscribers, and we don't want to take them for granted," said Lucinda Martinez, HBO's senior vice president for multicultural marketing.

Common is a big fan of the period drama and loves the complex characters and intriguing story lines. "'Game of Thrones' centers around a battle for power and rap is definitely a battle for power," he said.

On his song, the Chi-City rhymer spits about battling the top dog in the rap game. "I sit and think when I'm in my zone / This life is like a 'Game of Thrones,'" he raps.

Snow tha Product, Magazeen, Daddy Yankee, Dee Goodz, Dominik Omega and Kilo Kish are also featured on the project.

The 'Game of Thrones'-inspired mixtape will arrive on Friday (March 7) with the HBO series premiering on April 6 at 9PM ET.
