Waka Flocka Says Bricksquad Reunion Is ‘Never Happening'; Questions Gucci Mane’s Street Cred
It's been about five years since we've seen Bricksquad in full form with both Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane teaming up to create some street heat.
While the two had a former beef, they seem to have pretty much squashed it, and fans have been hoping for a reunion between them now that Guwop is out of jail. Unfortunately, it looks like Flocka has other plans, as he says he is done with that theory for good.
While doing an interview with BBC Radio to promote his new single "Was My Dawg," Flocka spoke on a potential Bricksquad reunion.
“It aint never happening," he said, plainly. "That Bricksquad was history. I enjoyed it, I loved it, it made me who I am today. It made him who he was today, but enough is enough man. The internet is not the streets.”
To make matters worse, Flocka posted a photo of the single artwork to social media, and tagged Gucci's Instagram handle to it, making people believe the single was about him. However, Flocka says that the song is not about Gucci, but about the industry as a whole.
Despite revealing the non-beef between the two, Flocka did take some shots at Gucci Mane's street credibility while addressing him not visiting east Atlanta since his prison release.
"Hey, since he been out, did he shoot a video in east Atlanta? Since Gucci been out, did he shoot a video in east Atlanta? Alright. I’m exposing these folks. I ain’t no hater, I’m just exposing. Atlanta got real big dogs, real kings of the east. East Atlanta got real kings. It ain’t one person," he said.
