Trey Songz can rest easy as he avoided jail by pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges of disturbing the peace, stemming from his 2016 incident where he destroyed stage props during a concert in Detroit.

As we previously reported, the singer went berserk when officials at Joe Louis Arena cut his set short. Trigga was not too happy with getting cut off and threatened to “go the f--- crazy.” Songz would eventually destroy props on the stage including glass materials and other items. Afterward, he was met by police officers who arrested him and charged him with aggravated assault and obstructing a police officer, among other charges.

On Friday (Aug. 19), Songz pleaded guilty to two counts of disturbing the peace during a hearing. He will serve 18 months of probation. As part of the plea deal, the assault and obstruction charges were dropped, according to TMZ. The 32-year-old singer must also attend anger management classes, undergo mandatory drug tests, and pay a fine for an undisclosed amount.

Songz also apologized to the city on Friday, saying “I love Detroit and that he had no intention of causing a disturbance. He also went on his Instagram account and posted a photo of himself at the courthouse.

"#dtp @ludacris voice," he wrote, referring to Luda's famed Disturbing the Peace label and, of course, the charges he pled guilty to.
