'Belong to the World' is the dramatic single off the Weeknd's upcoming 'Kiss Land' album, and it hits the web in its audio form several weeks after the video dropped.
Hearing the single without being distracted by its video allows for a better chance to digest exactly what Abel Tesfaye's doing here. He and his producers have been cinematic (and then some) on previous releases by the Weeknd, but it sounds like they're really reaching for that stadium-ready sound here.
From the backing strings to the controversial drum beat, the production on 'Belong to the World' truly makes it feels like you're listening to a movie unfold.
