Run The Jewels Witness Corruption and Social Injustice in Animated ‘Don’t Get Captured’ Video [WATCH]
Run The Jewels gifted their fans with a new video for "Don't Get Captured," one of the many dope tracks off their RTJ3 release.
The video shows Killer Mike and EL-P on an amusement park ride that shows glimpses of social injustice and corruption, and the whole thing is done in claymation.
In one scene, you see politicians played by skeletons, and they tear down a neighborhood to build new business for personal profit. You also see the police harassing and jailing citizens who try to give resistance.
The clip was directed by Chris Hopewell, who despite going the claymation route, did a stellar job of capturing some of the today's ill's, like police brutality, gentrification and discrimination.
Meanwhile, Run The Jewels continue their hectic pace of touring, playing the Forcastle Festival in Louisville, Ky. on July 14 and the Sloss Music and Arts Festival in Birmingham, Ala. on July-15-16. Plus, they'll be going on a European tour with Danny Brown this coming fall.
