Rihanna recently secured her 14th No. 1 single with “Work,” which is a noteworthy accomplishment. But talk show host Wendy Williams is not impressed. The 51-year-old radio icon threw some shade at RiRi and angered her Navy (aka “her fans”).

During her Hot Topic discussion, Wendy was congratulatory to Rihanna for having the most No. 1 singles as a female artist; beating Michael Jackson (who has 13 No. 1s) and Madonna (who has 12 No. 1s). Although Wendy praised the Bajan singer, she also stated that she will never reach legendary status like Beyonce.

"Rihanna will not be a legend. Nope! Beyonce will do her residency in Vegas at 55 years old and you will go see her,” she explained. “Rihanna will attempt to do it but as soon as she gets up there and says the B word better have my money..."

The audience members applauded in agreement with Wendy as she further made the point that, for your money, Queen Bey puts on a better stage show than Rihanna. We can agree with that.

Now while Wendy may have a point with her "Rihanna is not a legend" comments, we have to say that unquestionably Beyonce is a legend, but Rihanna is certainly a legend in the making. At 28 years old, the Anti creator has plenty of time to become a legendary figure in music.

Several fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on Wendy Williams' comments about Rihanna. Some are asking for Wendy to take several seats, while others agree that RiRi is not legend material.

"I'm sorry, but beyonce and Rihanna are both legendary women. Nobody out here getting it like them. Who is Wendy Williams to speak on them?!?" wrote one fan. Another person commented, "What Wendy Williams said about Rihanna music long term wise...got me like, damn she's is totally right, I never thought about that."
