Rich Homie Quan had a solid year (and it's not even done yet) with the success of his latest track “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh).” In fact, the song was so big that its producers -- DJ Spinz and Nitti Beatz -- were nominated alongside the Think Its a Game signee for Best Club Banger at the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

While the rapper lost to Big Sean in the category, it didn't stop him from flexing onstage. It was only fitting that the Atlanta native brought one of this year’s biggest tracks back to his hometown at the Civic Center.

Quan, sharply dressed in a tailored suit and Cartier glasses, hopped out of a Granny Smith green convertible and found his way to the center of the stage with four dancers. The women bent over to shake their derrieres in sparkling two pieces and cropped white tops. They popped up and circled the rhymer, then stood in a line behind him. It was well-orchestrated -- these weren’t simply a few random girls who could twerk from down the street.

They spun their style to fit the rock rendition that Quan was doing with “Flex” -- there was a drummer and a DJ scratching records as he spit lines like, “Walked in 30,000 dollars in my pocket / Had them n----s just like ooh, ooh, ooh! / 50 thousand dollars on your bitch who wanna f--- me / Got her screaming like ooh, ooh, ooh!”

And of course, what would a Rich Homie Quan set be these days without that beloved dance of his, the controversial “Quan” -- which ironically, didn’t receive that name until iLoveMemphis added a few extra steps and made a song to complement the moves.

Near the end of Quan’s performance, one of the young ladies draped a fur over his shoulders and he leaned like a don. The phrase that flashed onto the screen behind him? “Rich as in Spirit.”
