Florida rapper Brisco surrendered to authorities on Monday (July 11) to face charges that he beat an 18-year-old business partner and sent him to the hospital as a result of the blows.

The 29-year-old, born British Alexander Mitchell, turned himself into the North Miami Police Department for assaulting Giovanni Nagy. The two were involved in an argument that led to the altercation on June 30, at Nagy's home, located on the 2000 block of San Souci Boulevard in Miami.

According to North Miami police Maj. Neal Cuevas, the rapper, who has previously collaborated with Lil Wayne on the track, 'In The Hood' and was set to take part in the Urban Wrestling Federation, used excessive force on the victim. "[Brisco] began to pummel him, to beat him, strike him, punch him, knocking him unconscious and sending him to the hospital," Cuevas stated.

Brisco, a native of Opa-locka, Fla., is being held in Miami-Dade County jail on one count of aggravated battery.
