Post Malone Drops Unofficial Video for ‘Rockstar’ [WATCH]
Post Malone and 21 Savage’s “Rockstar” is, arguably, the biggest song of the fall season. On Friday (Nov. 10), Malone released an unofficial video for their braggadocios track.
The X-Ray-styled visual consists of the “White Iverson” rapper in rock star mode -- trashing green rooms, crowd surfing, breaking microphones and taking smoke breaks -- intermixed with footage of concertgoers cheering him on. The unofficial video appears to be Malone’s personal “Thank You” letter to his fans who have made “Rockstar” the No. 1 song in the country.
Currently, "Rockstar" notched its fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It's the longest running hip-hop song to stay at the top since since Rae Sremmurd’s rockstar anthem, “Black Beatles.”
In addition, "Rockstar" has reached platinum status according to the RIAA, which means 1 million equivalent album units have been moved in the U.S. One equivalent album unit is equal to: one album sale, 10 tracks sold from an album, or 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams from an album.
There's no word on when the official "Rockstar" video will arrive although one was shot weeks ago. Nevertheless, Malone’s upcoming second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, is expected to arrive before year's end.
