New Jersey rapper P-Dice, who was a former member of Fetty Wap’s Remy Boyz crew, was arrested on an attempted murder charge on Friday (April 22).

Sources have told The Record that P-Dice, whose real name is Justin Pope, was arrested in connection to a February shooting in which a stray bullet wounded a 7-year-old boy while he was sitting in his home in Paterson, N.J.

Police wouldn't reveal details about their evidence, but it appears they may have recovered the alleged gun used in the shooting, which links to P-Dice. In addition, the 29-year-old rapper was charged with weapons offenses and possession of a defaced firearm.

The 7-year-old child, Jaiden DeLeon, who was hit in the shoulder, survived his injuries. Upon hearing the news of the arrest, he thanked the police. "Good job," he said.

His mother, Diana Irizarri, has since moved from the Paterson neighborhood where gun violence is prevalent. Overall, she and her family are happy that authorities stayed on the case. “My whole family is happy about this. I give props to the Paterson Police Department. They did their job," she told The Record.

P-Dice was previously a member of Fetty Wap's Remy Boyz group and appeared on the hit single, "679." However, as Fetty Wap grew in popularity, P-Nice was dropped from the group.

It's not known if P-Nice hired an attorney in his attempted murder case.
