Melanie Fiona Announces Pregnancy [VIDEO]

Congratulations, Melanie Fiona. The R&B singer is expecting her first child with boyfriend, American Idol alumni Jared Cotter.

The Bridge creator announced the news in an Instagram video, in which she embraces her protruding tummy and shares a smile. A snippet of her song, "I Want it All," set to appear on Fiona's other creation, her third album, Awake, plays in the background.

"The greatest power a person possesses is the power to choose. The only thing greater, is being chosen. Thank You for choosing Us. Jared and I are thrilled to become Parents," she writes in the caption.

Her singer-songwriter boo also relayed his happiness about becoming a new parent on Instagram. “We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives! There is no greater blessing and I’m so happy to go on this journey with my best friend and love of my life. I’m gonna be a Dad!!! Thank you for choosing us. I promise we won’t let you down. I love you," he wrote.

The 32-year-old songstress has already released two singles from her forthcoming project, "Bite the Bullet" and "I Tried." The full version of "I Want it All" she promises to drop this week.
