Melanie Fiona is busy living The MF Life. The Toronto native dropped her sophomore LP earlier this year, and since then, has been on a quest to share her soulful opus with the masses. She's traveled the U.S., hitting venue upon venue for festivals and the like, and crossed borders to command the mic for her overseas fanbase.

While her loyal supporters look to her as the creator of some of their preferred tunes, the 28-year-old chanteuse has her own set of tracks she favors. In honor of Black Music Month, Fiona shares her five favorite songs by some inspiring entertainers.
