It's that time of the week again when most of us are itching to get out of the workplace and enjoy the weekend while listening to some good music. Well, have no fear, The Boombox has you covered with the choice tunes you should be enjoying throughout the weekend and beyond.

Last week's selections included songs from Vince Staples, A$AP Rocky and our previous winner of the Best Songs of the Week, Miguel.

We managed to narrow it down to the three songs we feel are most worthy to be on your weekend playlist. We present the latest edition of Songs of the Week featuring Meek Mill, Melanie Fiona and Prince.

    "Basic Bitch"

    Meek Mill Featuring Migos

The Migos may be in the middle of a legal battle, but that hasn't stopped them from staying in the conversation. Meek Mill taps the ATL trap stars for his latest release, "Basic Bitch," a lively track aimed at getting your head bopping and your feet moving. With all parties involved enjoying a great year - as far as their music careers - Meek and the Migos continue to make a case for themselves being at the forefront of the new era that's currently being ushered in.

    "Bite the Bullet"

    Melanie Fiona

Traditional R&B may be in a bit of a rut when looking at the brand of music that is currently dominating the airwaves and streaming websites. But Melanie Fiona is in no way concerned with changing her style up to fit in, as evidenced by her new single, "Bite the Bullet." The Grammy Award-winning songbird delivers a Caribbean-tinged winner that's more suited for the grown and sexy than the young and turnt. Be sure to keep an eye out for Fiona's upcoming album, Awake, which is due to out later this year.

Musical genius Prince has always been one not to bite his tongue on social issues. This is evident on his latest release, "Baltimore," which was made in response to the current strife engulfing the city. Featuring his band 3RDEYEGIRL, the Purple One sends his support for Baltimore's plight with his lyrics and nabs the top spot for Song of the Week.
