Meek Mill's bail request has been denied.

According to TMZ, Judge Genece Brinkley says Meek is a "flight risk" and "a danger to the community." In the bail denial, she also questioned the validity of his clean drug tests, suggesting that he may've used "Flash Flush" to clean his system.

Meek's lawyers asked for bail pending an appeal for his two to four year sentence for probation violation-- a controversial decision that caused an outcry from hip-hop artists and the community at large, as it's been used as an example of the criminal justice system's biases toward black and brown people.

Among the most outspoken has been JAY-Z, who even wrote an op-ed for the New York Times calling the probation system a trap for black men. At Jay's recent 4:44 Tour stop in Philadelphia, fans in attendance at the Wells Fargo arena held up signs that read: “Free Meek Mill” and “Justice4Meek.” JAY-Z, himself, stopped the show twice to address Meek Mill’s situation. After performing “Big Pimpin’,” Hov urged the crowd to rap along to Mill’s hit “Dreams and Nightmares.”

As for this most recent ruling, Meek's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said Brinkley's decision "continues her long pattern of unfair treatment" and vows to appeal.
