Meek Mill Cleared to Release Music While on House Arrest

Meek Mill is currently on house arrest for 90 days with crazy restrictions. However, one constraint has been lifted since the judge’s ruling back in February.

A source close to Meek's camp told TMZ that while the judge didn't allow the rapper to record new music he can release music in order "to protect his brand." However, there is a caveat. The Philadelphia native can only release music on free streaming platforms like Soundcloud and YouTube, which means that he can't profit off of them.

Meek was sentenced to 90 days under house arrest for violating probation following a 2009 drug and gun conviction. For about a month, the Philly spitfire remained relatively quiet until last week when he released "Trap Vibes." On the song, Meek spits lyrical darts at his haters over Drake's "Summer Sixteen" and Desiigner's smash hit "Panda." There's also a possibility that Meek might record a video for the song as well.

Although the MMG rapper is on house arrest, it sounds like his three-month confinement hasn't affected his lyrical abilities to go H.A.M. on the mic.
