Chicago rapper Lil Durk was arrested early this morning for unlawful use of a loaded handgun.

The newly signed Coke Boy -- French Montana's imprint -- was located at the 7200 block of South Green St., around 3AM when police pulled up to the area and allegedly witnessed him toss a gun into his car, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Durk, who is preparing to release his Signed to the Streets mixtape in the coming months, was already on parole when he was taken into custody this morning. Last April, the rapper, born Durk D. Banks, was sentenced to one year in prison for a 2012 aggravated unlawful use of a weapon conviction. He was released in July 2012.

He's currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail for today's alleged weapon violation. His lawyer, Sam Adam Jr., told judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil that Durk did not have the weapon when he was arrested by Chicago police. Adam had an affidavit present from a man claiming he was in possession of the gun and not the "Dis Ain't What U Want" rhymer.
