Killer Mike Not Bothered With Bill Maher Saying the N-Word, Asks Folks If They Bank Black
Killer Mike has been an outspoken critic of social injustice, but the Atlanta rapper is leaving people scratching their heads over his response to Bill Maher using the N-word during his talk show, Real Time With Bill Maher.
As we previously reported, Maher was talking with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse about working on his campaign when Sasse responded, “we’d love to have you work in the fields with us.” And then Maher replied “Work in the fields... Senator, I’m a house n----.”
Of course, this didn't sit well with "Woke" Twitter and they immediately called for HBO to fire Bill Maher from his show.
On Saturday afternoon (June 3), Killer Mike, who has appeared on Maher's show on numerous occasions, responded to the fallout by not getting upset at all. Apparently, the Run the Jewels member is not bothered by the political host using the racial slur.
In a series of tweets, Mike urged black people to be more focused on economic empowerment as oppose to crying about a white guy saying the N-word. "Watch your money n---- and stop worrying about others. Take care of your dollar & help blacks organize that. Otherwise u just a lame crying," Mike told one user.
Killer Mike then asked everyone on his timeline if they have monies invested in black banks. Read his tweets below.
While supporting black banks is very important, folks are Twitter don't see how its mutual exclusive to Bill Maher saying the N-word on live television. They quickly delivered the slander on the rap veteran, but Mike has been swatting the criticisms away from his timeline with ease.
"[Killer Mike] we can condemn Bill Mayer and other white liberals while also focusing on building black power ya know," wrote one person. Journalist Ashley C. Ford tweeted, "Bill Maher sucks and is dumb. Killer Mike is working with half a black history lesson and three personal finance blogs worth of information."
