After dropping her eye-catching video for the song "LMK," Kelela announced the dates for her U.S. and European tour, which kicks off in Philadelphia on Sept 2-3 at JAY-Z's Made in America Festival.

A few weeks after that, the talented singer-songwriter will head to Los Angeles for a gig at the Hollywood Bowl, and then she'll perform for crowds in San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, Seattle and eventually Minneapolis, Minn. on Nov. 5.

Then once late November hits, Kelela will gig in several European cities Paris, Antwerp, Belgium, Berlin, German, Stockholm, Sweden, Copenhagen, Denmark and London.

And speaking of London, the DMV native was asked about how she started working within the local grime scene, especially as an American artist.

"I know that I love grime, and I'm influenced by it, so I'm still finding my place, but I know I've always wondered why there weren't a lot of vocalists singing with the genre," she told OysterMag. "Grimen'n'B happened and then wasn't able to flourish for whatever reason or wasn't being acknowledged by the powers that be, so I think I've always wanted to illuminate the soft, intimate side of what it means to be street or hard."
