Kanye West to Use Photo of Late Mother’s Plastic Surgeon for Album Artwork
Kanye West hasn’t revealed much details about his next studio project, which is expected to arrive in June. However, on Saturday (April 28), West revealed the album’s cover artwork and it will certainly raise eyebrows.
West shared on his Twitter account an exchange with an unknown recipient about the LP’s cover. He posted a mugshot photo of Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who performed cosmetic surgery on West’s mother, Donda West, who suddenly died afterward in 2007. Dr. Adams has denied any wrongdoing and an autopsy did not fault him as the medical examiner didn't find any surgical error.
"This is my album cover. This is plastic surgeon Jan Adams. The person who performed my moms final surgery...Do you have any title ideas? I want to forgive and stop hating," West wrote to the recipient.
"LOVE EVERYONE," the person responded. "I love that," West replied back.
While West's proposed album artwork is unusual, but it appears the Chicago rapper is trying to convey a message of love and forgiveness and he is leading by example by ending his hate for Dr. Adams.
In another tweet, West urged his followers to perform a random act of "love" for the day. He wrote, "I've got a new challenge for everyone today. Pick somebody that you had an argument with that you think you hate maybe even someone you haven't spoken to in years and contact that person and tell them I love you."
West announced on Twitter last week that he working on his solo album which is due out on June 1, as well as a collaborative album with Kid Cudi under the rap group name Kids See Ghosts. The rapper-producer is also working on Nas' next project as well.
West just dropped a new single called "Ye vs. the People" featuring T.I. where they trade lyrics about free-thinking, conformity and President Trump.
