Joey Bada$$ Delivers Politically-Charged Performance of ‘Land of the Free’ on ‘The Late Show’ [Watch]

Last night, Joey Bada$$ performed "Land of the Free" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Joey begins his performance on his knee, rapping, "You know sometimes I don't think they truly understand me ya know...because they don't."

"I'm just a black spade spawned out the nebula," the Brooklyn native rapped while being backed by a live band, and rocking an oversized American flag. The video for "Land of the Free" was released a few weeks ago—it artistically showcases police brutality and racism in America.
