After releasing her album Trip, Jhene Aiko is back with a new book called 2Fish.

A collection of intimate poems and a few short stories, 2Fish features pieces written by the singer from her adolescence to adulthood. According to the book's description, "[2Fish] details [Aiko's] thoughts in their most raw and honest form taken directly from a collection of notebooks she has kept since age 12."

Speaking about writing, Aiko had previously said, "Writing poetry has always been a form of therapy for me and has helped me get through difficult situations. When no one else understands, out journals can understand. I feel obligated to share because I know I am not alone in my suffering."

In October, Aiko teamed up with non-profit organization Get Schooled to launch the Penny's Pen campaign. The singer asked young people ages 13 to 21 to share their written pieces on Instagram, with the top submission being eligible to win a Penny's Pen writing kit.

The book is currently for sale on Amazon, retailing for $14.95 for the hardcover.
