Jamie Foxx Talks About His Heroic Rescue: ‘I Don’t Look at It As Heroic’ [VIDEO]
Jamie Foxx is a humble hero as he tells of his heroic act of saving a man from a burning car.
"I climb in and I try to hit his seatbelt but he's hovered over," said Foxx of the dramatic event to ABC News. "I grabbed the scissors from him, cut the seatbelt...as we pulled him out, within five seconds later, the truck goes up (in flames)."
"I grabbed the scissors from him, cut the seatbelt," Foxx said. "As we pulled him out, within five seconds later, the truck goes up (in flames)."
"I don't look at it as heroic," said Foxx in a video on BBC. "I just look at it as you know just had to do something, you know? And it all just worked out."
The victim's father, Brad Kyle, however shares a different sentiment as he relayed his gratefulness to Foxx. "It doesn't matter to me who it was or what they do for a living," he said. "Just the idea that someone would do that is so much more than I could fathom."
"I think we all hope that we could do something when the time is there but the question is do we? Do we act or do we fear our own lives? And he did not," he added.
The two hugged after the emotional interview.
Props to Jamie Foxx for his heroic act.
