J. Cole’s latest album, 4 Your Eyez, hit a special milestone. The album has reached platinum status roughly three months after its release.

This will be the North Carolina native’s fourth album to reach this honorary RIAA certification. When 4 Your Eyez Only arrived back in December, with little to no warning, it moved 363,000 copies in traditional album sales in its first week of release. Overall, Cole's four studio efforts, Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011), Born Sinner (2013), 2014 Forest Hills Drive (2014) and 4 Your Eyez Only (2016), are certified platinum.

Meanwhile, J. Cole will release a HBO documentary featuring music from his current platinum-selling album. The film, J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film, captures moments in the rapper’s life during his travels to different ‘hoods in the South. In the film, Cole visits Baton Rouge, La., Ferguson, Mo., Atlanta, his own hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., and his father’s hometown of Jonesboro, Ark., to talk with residents about the problems they face on a daily basis.

The documentary will premiere on April 15 at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
