In preparation for his long awaited debut album, 'Cole World: The Sideline Story,' Roc Nation signee J. Cole has dropped a visual for the album's lead single 'Work Out.'

Though the Jake Davis-directed clip was originally shot in Los Angeles, after an edit leaked without Cole's consent last month, they re-shot scenes in Brooklyn, N.Y., giving the visual a perfect '90s summertime feel.

The visuals on the video for 'Work Out' are stunning. I've never shot a video like this before," Cole told Rap-Up, at the initial shoot in L.A. "It felt like a real video with the lights and all. With 'Who Dat,' the label let me be free and do my artistic thing with the one shot, but this video they wanted a more superstar look. I'll take it. I think it's about that time."

Though the Paula Abdul-interpolated, Kanye West-sampled single debuted two months ago, the video clip is right on time, as buzz begins to pick up again around Cole. If 'Work Out' is a "superstar look," we're interested to hear what he thought of the video he recently shot in Barbados with Trey Songz and Rihanna, for his second single 'Can't Get Enough.'

'Cole World: The Sideline Story' is in stores on Sept. 27.
