First Lady Michelle Obama has extended an invitation to the "hip-hop violinist" Miri Ben-Ari, for the entertainer to spend a day at the White House in honor of Women's History Month.

The Grammy-winning violinist, who has worked with Kanye West, Alicia Keys and T-Pain, is one of 25 women from various backgrounds who has been deemed a "remarkable women" by the first lady. The women will spend a day (March 30) with Mrs. Obama, touring D.C. to meet with young women and inspire them to pursue their dreams, according to a representative for Ben-Ari. Following their tour of D.C., the women will be attending a dinner at the White House with the First Lady and several other "notable figures."

Born in Israel, Ben-Ari was classically trained by legendary violinists Isaac Stern and Yehudi Menuhin, before joining the Israeli Army, where she discovered jazz and then later, hip-hop.

Dubbed the "hip-hop violinist," Ben-Ari has worked with some of the biggest names in the genre, including Jay-Z, Akon, Wyclef, Twista, Brandy, John Legend, Janet Jackson, Erykah Badu and Styles P. Ben-Ari has release five solo studio albums, the last two being 2005's 'The Hip-Hop Violinist' and its sequel in 2008.
