Rapper Gucci Mane was arrested in Atlanta on Friday (April 8) and charged with battery.

MyFoxAtlanta.com reports that Gucci, born Radric Davis, was arrested by Dekalb County Police officials while visiting his probation officer at the Georgia Department of Corrections Probation Office. He was put in cuffs after allegedly attempting to push a woman out of a moving vehicle.

The Brick Squad rapper was charged with a misdemeanor count, but will likely face more trouble for violating his probation stemming from an early 2010 arrest. He is currently being held in Atlanta's DeKalb County Jail.

In December, Gucci was arrested at Waka Flocka Flame's home in Georgia, after it was raided by police. He was initially suspected of being involved in a prostitution ring, but later turned himself over to police on multiple charges which included possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was released on $40,000 bond. In early January, he was admitted to a mental facility for psychiatric evaluation in an attempt to skirt a possible 17-month jail stint.

Since his last run-in with the law, Gucci has announced plans to release the joint album 'The Ferrari Boys,' alongside Waka, later this spring. He dropped his 13-track mixtape 'The Return of Mr. Zone 6' on March 22, which will be followed by his next studio LP, 'The Ice Cream Man.'
