An arrest warrant for aggravated assault has reportedly been issued for Gucci Mane.

According to WSBTV, a man named James, who happens to be in the Army and who served in Afghanistan, claims that on March 15, he approached Mane's security near the VIP section at Harlem Nights nightclub in Atlanta, asking if he could take a picture with the rapper.

But the victim alleged that while asking security, Mane unexpectedly struck him with a bottle.

James recalled the incident, saying what he told security, "'I'm in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?' ... I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle."

James said that wasn't all, saying that after he was hit by the bottle, Mane's friend also hit him. "And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face," James told a WSBTV reporter.

James says he was taken by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he required 10 stitches to close the wound on his scalp. He says he suffered a concussion and has been experiencing headaches since the incident.

The Atlanta police department confirmed that the warrant for Gucci's arrest has been issued and are waiting for the rapper to contact them.

The incident took place during the release party for Gucci's "Trap God 2" mixtape.

James says what happened was eye-opening.

"That is dangerous because if there was to be any other fan trying to approach him, ain't no telling what else he might do to them," James said. "He could have possibly killed me. I just hope and pray that I recover pretty well because I still want to serve my military career."
