G-Star RAW announced last February that they would be debuting a "Raw for the Oceans" Collection, a collaboration between the brand and Bionic Yarn, Pharrell Williams's recycled plastic and textile company. Today we get to take a look into what the Dutch brand and Pharrell's brainchild came together with.

It goes without saying that curation from Pharrell is something every menswear or streetwear brand could benefit from, but when the apparel is made from primarily plastic water bottles and they still look fly -- that's something to celebrate. Not only is this collection extremely cohesive and beautiful, it's also giving us all the chance to help the environment and raise awareness.

Each garment contains subtle details that make us hope there's a follow-up collection, and the muted color scheme is perfect for the fall and winter seasons. G-Star and Bionic Yarn were also in collaboration with The Vortex Project (an international collective of artists, designers and architects actively working with plastic debris) and Parley for the Oceans (Parley is a space where creators, thinkers and leaders collaborate to raise awareness for our oceans and to start projects that can end their destruction). Look for the full collection to hit stores in September.
