Future, Masta Ace, Consequence & More Added to Marvel Hip-Hop Variant Album Cover Series

Marvel has rolled out another stellar collection of album cover redos for their popular Hip-Hop Variant Cover series. The last installment featured LP artwork from Nas, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, Prodigy & Alchemist and EPMD getting the comic book treatment.

For the latest collection, the creative group of artists reflipped Future & Zaytoven's 2015 mixtape Beast Mode, Masta Ace's 1995 LP Sittin' On Chrome, Blackalicious' 2002 effort Blazing Arrow, Consequence's 2007 album Don't Quit Your Day Job and CZARFACE's 2005 LP, Every Hero Needs A Villain.

We must talk about Consequence's comic-book redo as some people may not be familiar with Slapstick. The weird-looking clown is an actual a superhero in the Marvel universe who is indestructible and possesses superhuman agility and reflexes. He's also an experienced practical joker with a highly developed bizarre sense of humor. He appears regularly in the new Avengers comic book series.

The rest should be self-explanatory. Previously, Marvel delivered several other installments that included Logic’s 2015 album The Incredible True Story, Pusha T’s 2016 LP Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude and De La Soul's 1996 album, De La Soul Is Dead.
