JAY-Z delivered plenty of memorable rhymes on 4:44. But on “Kill JAY-Z,” he made Eric Benét the poster child for cheating men with his infamous line, “You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / N—-, never go Eric Benét!” he raps.

For those who don’t know, Benét was married to his then-wife, Halle Berry, in 2001, and eventually separted in 2003 following reports that he cheated on her. At that time, Benet was vilified for cheating on who is still arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world.

TMZ caught up with Benet months after the song’s release to see if the singer harbors any animosity towards Hov. He does not. In fact, Benet appreciates JAY’s honesty on the song.

"Lyrically you can hear the maturation and growth as a man, admitting that he wrong and that's always a good thing," he said. "It definitely boosted my Twitter activity, ain't nothing wrong with that."

Benet has no ill will towards JAY-Z. In the end, he says no harm, no foul.

"I'm only concentrating with my life right now," he said. "My wife is the most amazing woman [designer Manuela Testolini] in the world."
