Before Drake got into a heated feud with Hot 97 radio personality Funkmaster Flex, he made a surprise appearance at Boi-1da’s DJ set at the Mad Decent Block Party event in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sunday (Aug. 7).

Next to his longtime collaborator Noah "40" Shebib, Drizzy and Boi-1da are like Batman and Robin. The dynamic duo have created hundreds of hit songs together, including “Controlla” and “9” from Drake’s latest release, Views. So it was only right that Drake makes his presence felt during the hitmaker’s scorching DJ set.

According to HotNewHipHop, the Toronto rhymer ran through a medley of hits that included “Jumpman,” “Back to Back,” the fan-favorite “Energy” and “For Free.” The crowd was totally receptive to Drake’s call and response.

Afterward, Drake and Boi-1da saluted each other for delivering yet another sizzling performance for the NYC crowd.

"Thank you [Diplo] & [Madd Recent Block Party] had to bring out the G.O.A.T. [Drake] to shut it down tonight," tweeted Boi-1da.

Drake is not done yet. The 29-year-old rapper is set to close out his three-night "Summer Sixteen" tour run at Madison Square Garden in New York tonight (Aug. 8).
