Da Brat Arrested in Atlanta After Nightclub Brawl

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday morning after hitting a waitress over the head with a bottle, at producer Jermaine Dupri's Atlanta nightclub, Studio 72.

According to Dekalb County police, the rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, and the waitress got into an altercation resulting in a "deep laceration" on the 23-year-old waitress' cheek. The unnamed victim was taken to a local hospital.

This isn't the rapper's first run-in with the law. Da Brat was arrested in March of 2000, for allegedly pistol-whipping a partygoer at Buckhead hot spot Chili Pepper.

The rapper, who faces felony aggravated assault charges, is being held at the DeKalb County jail.
