In a show of reproductive support for women, rapper Common will co-headline a Planned Parenthood benefit concert in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19. The event, dubbed “Show Up!,” is billed as a “concert for reproductive health, freedom and justice.”

Joining Com on the bill are the alternative group The Nationals. In addition, activists, celebrities, local politicians and more will be on hand to present a message of support for women to have access to reproductive health services.

It’s no coincidence that the concert is being held one day before Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Both Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence are staunch pro-life advocates. The GOP also plans to wipe out all federal funding for Planned Parenthood when they repeal President Obama's Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) in the new year.

"We plan to send a clear message to the incoming administration that millions of people across this country are prepared to fight attacks on reproductive health care and abortion services," Planned Parenthood's president, Cecile Richards, said in a statement (via Rolling Stone).

The Planned Parenthood benefit concert "Show Up!" will take place at D.C.'s 9:30 Club venue. For more information, head over to 930.com.
