Chris Brown’s Andy Warhol Painting Selling for $500K, Will Benefit Hurricane Relief
Chris Brown isn't only a singer, the Heartbreak on a Full Moon artist is also a skilled painter and one of his works is now selling for a hefty price.
A collaboration between Breezy and photographer Karen Bystedt which features a photo of the late Andy Warhol and two paintings is now being sold for $500,000, TMZ reports. The piece is a collage which features a young, adult and middle-aged version of Warhol.
While the price may sound high, a portion of the proceeds will go towards a good cause. With bidding on eBay starting at $500,000, some of the money from the sale will go benefit hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
On Oct. 31, Brown dropped his eighth studio album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon. The 45-song double-album includes the songs "Privacy," "Pills & Automobiles" and "Questions." The project also features a number of guest appearances including, Jhene Aiko, R. Kelly, Dej Loaf, Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane, Usher, Future, Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign.
The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 68,000 album-equivalent units, 25,000 of which were pure album sales. Since the project was released on a Tuesday instead of the usual Friday release date, Heartbreak on a Full Moon only had three full days of sales.
