It's been two years since the Chris Brown was arrested for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, and he is done apologizing for it.

"At the end of the day, if I walk around apologizing to everybody, I'm gonna look like a damn fool," he told the New York Post's Page Six Magazine.

"People are always gonna talk," he continued. "But I'm in a positive place. I consider myself a grown-ass man."

Brown has already completed court-mandated domestic violence classes and 180 hours of hard labor in 2010 and is currently serving five years probation for the assault. A judge recently downgraded a restraining order that banned contact between Brown and Rihanna. Although he is working to restart his life, he said there have been many people who "turned away" from him for fear of being associated with something negative.

Despite the ongoing fallout, Brown is keeping his head in the game by gearing up for the release of his fourth record, 'F.A.M.E.,' due out on March 22. And even though there were many who left Brown's side, he's grateful to his fans who stuck around.

"The last two years, everybody dissed me," Brown said. "But my fans were so dedicated. The way I look at it is, you can't walk around mad, because then you just prove everybody right that you're an angry person."
