Chris Brown's Twitter antics have kept him in the headlines but his artistry is what garnered him a top honor at the 2011 BET Awards on Sunday (June 26).

The platinum-haired crooner scored the accolade for Best Male R&B Artist. He bested acts like Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars, Trey Songz and Usher.

"All of my fans are everything to me," Brown said as he accepted his award on stage. "It's been a long road... I appreciate ya'll."

Brown is also set to perform at the ceremony, and is up for five more nominations. The Virginia native hasn't announced which song he will perform from his latest album, 'F.A.M.E.' but chances are with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes in the audience, he may do his Afrojack-produced track 'Look at Me Now,' which has sold over 2 million copies.

Currently, 'F.A.M.E.' has sold over 580,000 copies stateside.
