Chance The Rapper to Grill Chicken for Charity at the Grand Opening of Nandos in Chicago
Nothing says "charity" like grilled chicken wings.
One of hip-hop's most generous acts, Chance The Rapper, announced on Twitter that he'll be on the grill at a new Nando's location in Chicago on Michigan Avenue for their grand opening on Sept. 5. The act will help raise money for his charity, SocialWorks, which focuses on assisting Chicago's youth through inspired arts programs. Nandos will donate all money made from Sept. 5-7 to the organization.
No doubt, Chance's charitable acts are almost as known as his Grammy-winning music. Earlier this month, he presented a terminally ill teen with free tickets to see Coldplay and just a week before that, gifted 30,000 backpacks to Chicago kids returning to school, earning him more high praise from Barack Obama. Chance also made headlines back in March when he donated $1 million toward improving Chicago public schools, going as far as to meet with the Illinois governor about the dire conditions of the education system in the state.
