It looks like Canibus has his release schedule set to rapid fire these days. The popular underground rapper was relatively silent over the past three years until his independent release, 'Melatonin Magik,' surfaced in November. Now, not even a full year later, Canibus is back with a new joint called 'C of Tranquility.' It's his tenth official studio album -- an impressive feat for any recording artist. The album will be released via Interdependent Media, an indie label that allows Canibus to do what he wants without the pressures of adding radio-baiting singles or unnecessary collaborations.

Of course, that doesn't mean the rapper is going at it alone on the new record. 'C of Tranquility' will represent something of a return to the rapper's New York collaboration roots and contains 15 new tracks. The album sports confirmed production by some big names such as DJ Premier, Jake One and Scram Jones. Initial track titles include: 'Merchant of Metaphors,' 'Free Words' and 'The Messenger's Message.'

Canibus recently revealed his mental state going into so many albums in a row. "Sometimes life will beat you down just to remind you that you're alive," he said during a 2009 interview with Conspiracy Worldwide Hip-Hop Radio. "There's no better time than the present to try and actualize your dreams." 'C of Tranquility' drops Oct. 5.
