Buckshot is about to tackle the how-to game in a big way. The Black Moon frontman is celebrating his 15-year anniversary with Duck Down Records, a storied underground hip-hop label, by preparing a new e-book about how young artists can navigate in the music business without getting crushed. Coming November 23, the project is called 'The Common Knowledgy of the Entertainment Industry.'

"The pamphlet is comprised of three stages," says a press release for the book. "Buckshot first educates readers on the 'Basics' of the entertainment industry providing his definitions for terms associated within the business. Buckshot then transitions to the 'Framework,' or inner-workings of a music label and answers commonly posed questions that he receives from fans and interviewers. In the final stage, Buckshot unveils 'How It All Works,' and illustrates the process of putting the knowledge to use and executing proposed goals."

The audio book, comprised of 16 chapters, will see release through digital carriers and tackles everything from how to create a street team, the difference between producers and executives, how to make a record and how to get that record into a DJs hands. It will also help aspiring producers with some tips about how to sample and get your beat to a valid MC. Buckshot might have some savvy advice for amateurs. He got his start as an intern at Hank Shocklee's S.O.U.L. Records before becoming an artist.
