Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Address Krazyie Bone’s Departure
Krayzie Bone made headlines last week after announcing that he would be leaving the quintet Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and now it's the group's turn to talk. According to the platinum-selling ensemble, BTNH are not breaking up and the group will continue to make music and tour as a collective.
"Let's be clear, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony the band/brand did not and does not break up. A single member has parted ways on another mission in life and we wish him love and success," a spokesperson for the group told AllHipHop.com. "BTNH World Wide the brand continues to functions 307 days a year globally, and will continue to do so with respect to its business partners and the great Fan Family."
Additionally, they announced that they would continue their tour through the fall. "Come see one of our dynamic live band concerts in a city or country near you this coming May through September 2011," the statement said.
Though the group lives on, Krayzie will focus on his solo career. "I will no longer be part of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony," he said in his exit statement. "Due to uncontrollable circumstances, it's basically time for me to move on and start embarking on different endeavors that I've already had planned in my life."
The Cleveland-based group has gone through several lineup changes since forming in 1991. Since then, they have sold millions of albums worldwide and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for their 1997 smash 'Tha Crossroads.
