Birdman has been making the media rounds as of late, in part promoting his new Apple documentary, Anythang: The Cash Money Story, and also letting the world knows how much he loves Toni Braxton. During an interview with Rap-Up, the Cash Money mogul also made a few declarative statements about YMCMB's Nicki Minaj.

“I always say she’s the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down, facts. There’s no getting around it,” he declared. “There’s levels to this s**t. Very much levels to this s**t. She’s an elite.”

At this point, very few people would argue that Nicki Minaj isn't at least top 10. She certainly has the resume and stats to back it up. But the best woman to ever do it? Birdman says yes, and refused to back away from his statement.

“Sometimes, you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap, but if you put her on females, it’s nothing,” he explained. “She’s a monster in her own race.”

He went on, gushing that she's a "special talent."

"I’m blessed to have her a part of my team. She’s a special talent I’ve never heard before," he said.

Birdman also touched on why Nicki has been MIA on social media, confirming previous reports that she's just hyper-focused on her music right now, as she has an album slated to drop later this year.

After Birdman's comments, folks on Twitter had plenty to say about Nicki being the best female rapper ever—some agreeing, others not so much, pointing out talent like Missy Elliott, MC Lyte and Lauryn Hill. You can check some reactions below.
