Beyonce Seeks ‘Wonder Woman’ Role
After fully embracing her alter ego, "Sasha Fierce," R&B superstar Beyonce is looking to take the next logical step. In a recent interview, the singer/actress revealed that she hopes to snag a role as as superhero, preferably Wonder Woman.
"I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great," Beyonce said. "And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?"
To prove that she's serious about her latest goal, Beyonce has met with representatives of DC Comics and Warner Bros. to discuss the possibility of her appearing in one of their future comic-book adaptations. The singer may be looking to play the first black Wonder Woman, but she definitely wouldn't be the first African-American woman with super-powers.

Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry played Storm in the 'X-Men' movies and donned a catsuit in 'Catwoman,' which didn't seem to boost poor box office earnings. Beyonce has appeared in more than a handful of films, including 'Austin Powers in Goldmember,' 'The Pink Panther' and 'Dreamgirls.' The diva will hit the big screen in the upcoming drama, 'Cadillac Records,' which hits theaters on Dec. 5.
Beyonce's third solo album, 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce' hits stores on Nov. 18. Look for her exclusive AOL Sessions performance the same day.
