Beyonce Gives Sneak Peak of Alter-Ego at Listening Session
Beyonce's fans embraced the diva's alter-ego the moment the songstress admitted that it was Sasha, not Beyonce, that burst onto stages with fierce energy. Now, years after she first discussed her other persona, Beyonce is releasing the double-disc titled 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce' on November 18.
"Beyonce was adamant -- and she has complete creative control -- about dividing her songs," Mathew Knowles, the singer's father and manager explains during a listening session in New York. "She felt she couldn't mix the songs together. She's in a much different space now than she was one year ago. She's married and in a really good place and this album reflects that."

The double-disc set reflects the two sides of the singer with the first CD expressing her personal side. Ballads like 'Broken Hearted Girl' and 'Disappear' appeal to the singer's faithful 'to the left, to the left' chanting fans while the second disc boasts bass-booming dance tracks, including 'Sweet Dream,' which was leaked over the summer under the assumed title 'Beautiful Nightmare.'
There's what I call defining moments in our life," Mathew Knowles said, "and when we look back, in years to come, I think this will be the defining moment in Beyonce Knowles' career as a recording artist. And there's more to come [from] Sasha Fierce."
