Beyonce continues her worldwide takeover by dazzling the cover of InStyle magazine's September issue, where she revealed that she discussed her marriage to superstar rapper Jay-Z, and revealed that she is finally at the point in her career where motherhood is an actual option.

"It was great to be a wife and travel with [my husband]," the R&B queen said of her decision to focus on her marriage. "I had to turn down great things. I did it for my sanity, my life, my relationships, my nephew, my husband, my sister and my friendships. I deserved to give myself time to focus on things besides performing, filming and recording."

While Beyonce generally dances around questions regarding her plans for starting a family, she revealed that she feels motherhood is finally a luxury she is able to afford, if she so chooses.

"I sacrificed so much as a kid and as a teenager. I have no regrets because my job kept me focused. When you're young -- 18 or 19 -- you have the energy and drive. That's the time to work as hard as you can," she explained. "Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children."

However, the 'Single Ladies' singer admitted that she's still not quite ready to take the plunge into motherhood. "I've seen the reality of having a kid and I know I'm not quite ready for it yet," she conceded. "I have a nephew, my sister's son and I was there in the delivery room when he was born. I had begged my sister, 'Please don't make me because it's going to traumatize me'. But she talked me into it -- and I was right! I'm scared of that! I mean, it was amazing and I cried when he was born but it's hard."

Beyonce concludes her mega sold out '4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce' residency at New York's Roseland Ballroom on Friday (August 19). Her fourth album '4' is in stores now.
