Beyonce Announces North American Tour Dates
R&B/pop diva Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce will bring her 'I Am ...' World Tour stateside this summer in support of her multi-platinum third solo album 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce.' The singer will launch her 22-date North American trek on June 21 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Known for putting on a massive productive, Beyonce made news last month when sketches of her tour costumes were published on WWD.com.
Beyonce will represent for the warrior in all women when she takes the stage in Thierry Mugler's designs. According to the released sketches, the superheroine-esque tour costumes are expected to showcase the "duality between being a woman and a warrior." "There will be a lot of dramatization and metamorphosis on stage," Mugler told WWD.
In other Beyonce news, the singer/actress will hit the big screen in the thriller 'Obsessed,' starring Idris Elba and Ali Larter, on April 24.
