It looks like Beyoncé and Laverne Cox are collaborating on a project of some sort.

The Orange Is the New Black actress revealed the news during a visit to Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday (Aug. 22). Cox also said that Bey reached out to her for the collab, and she's still not sure how it happened, but it had to do with a meeting that took place at the Grammy Awards.

"I have no idea," she said. "To be perfectly honest, I'm like, 'Does she pick out her biggest fans ever and let them work with her?' It's pretty amazing ... Beyoncé stood up for me and said the loveliest things. She had seen my Lip Sync Battle performance and knew I was a huge fan."

The actress also sent a tweet and confirmed that she'll be working with the Lemonade creator.

"Yes, it's true," wrote Cox. "I am collaborating with @beyonce on a new project. #QueenBey herself. More details Sept. 6."

Bey, meanwhile, posted an eye-catching slide-show that folks are still talking about, and a little before that her box set, coffee table book How to Make Lemonade became available. Plus, the singer penned a forward for a new book on Prince recently, so she's gotten right back in the swing of things after delivering twins rather quickly.

In terms of the project with Cox, Sept. 6 is right around the corner, so it won't be too much longer to find out what it's all about. You can see the actress talk about Queen Bey above.
