Beyonce has frequently discussed her excitement about motherhood, but with her fourth solo album, '4,' debuting yesterday (June 28), R&B's reigning queen is showing no signs of slowing down to start a family any time soon.

On Monday night (June 27), the 'Run the World (Girls)' singer sat down with CNN host Piers Morgan and discussed being a "diva," her recent appearance at Glastonbury Festival and her impending family plans,

explaining that, while she had hoped to be pregnant by 30, "god only knows" when she will find the time.

"I always said I'd have a baby at 30," she said. "I'm 29. But I also said I was going to retire at 30. I'm not retiring."

Though she may not have any current plans to play mom with her husband Jay-Z, Beyonce was careful not to rule out the possibility, saying that she is nearing the perfect age to start a family.

"I feel like a woman," she revealed. "I feel like I'm very aware of who I am. I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite -- but you're young enough to be a young woman," she said. "I'm so looking forward to it."

While the world awaits Beyonce and Jay's lovechild, her newest album '4' is in stores now.
