Before Beanie Sigel starts doing time, he'll release This Time, a new album due out Aug. 28, Contact Music reports. Earlier this week, the rapper was sentenced to two years in prison for tax evasion, and between now and Sept. 12, his deadline for turning himself in, he'll finish up his latest collection of songs.

"Regardless of this unfortunate situation, Beanie has created a tremendous body of work that is totally worthy of the Ruffhouse name," said Chris Schwartz, head of the rhymer's label, Ruffhouse Records.

Sigel, born Dwight Grant, pleaded guilty to tax evasion back in August 2011. He's said to have cheated the IRS out of $728,536 between 1995 and 2005, and while he accepts "total responsibility," he's blamed family members for mismanaging money from 2004 to 2005, while he was incarcerated on drug and weapons charges.
