Ashanti has announced that she will be the executive producer and co-host of a new daily music show called "Fuse News," launching this fall.

In an appearance on the the "Today" show, the "What's Luv" singer discussed her new program, which she described as a replacement for MTV's popular "Total Request Live."

"It's absolutely amazing," Ashanti explained. "We used to have 'TRL' back in the day, on MTV, and they kinda went towards reality TV ... It's music news... Maybe we'll get a little bit into the relationships of who's dating who, maybe, but it's more so about just musical content."

The 30-minute show will air on weekdays this fall, offering a daily breakdown of the latest in the music industry. Ashanti, who also performed the show's theme song, will share hosting duties with co-anchors Elaine Moran and Alexa Chung in N.Y., and Jack Osbourne in L.A.
